Corrigan caught his first cold. We knew from his Hopkins visit, this week, that his white blood counts were high and that he was probably about to get something. Two days later he coughed a few times, sneezed and was officially sick with his first cold.

Poor baby was pretty miserable yesterday but today he was markedly improved. No signs that this first illness event is going to manifest itself into to something "citru-sick." Trust me I have been watching.

My hope is that, by tomorrow, he will pretty much be back to normal.

The above photo was taken this evening on a beanbag near a tall lamp. When I processed this photo a song from the Dixie Chicks album "Home" began to play in my mind. I searched for my copy of the cd but could not find it. No matter. I can hear it clearly…

"Dragon tales and the "water is wide"
Pirate's sail and lost boys fly
Fish bite moonbeams every night
And I love you

Godspeed, little man
Sweet dreams, little man
Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings
Godspeed
Sweet dreams

The rocket racer's all tuckered out
Superman's in pajamas on the couch
Goodnight moon, we'll find the mouse
And I love you

Godspeed, little man
Sweet dreams, little man
Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings
Godspeed
Sweet dreams

God bless mommy and match box cars
God bless dad and thanks for the stars
God hears "Amen," wherever we are
And I love you

Godspeed, little man
Sweet dreams, little man
Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings
Godspeed
Godspeed
Godspeed
Sweet dreams"
