Corrigan has been going to school for two years now, so this morning wasn’t a huge deal for Corrigan (and Mommy didn’t cry!) but this is his first year of full-time school-which means multiple tube-feedings and a much longer day. It is going to take awhile for him to adjust but I know this year is going to be a great one!
Last week I was a little stressed about this year and it was keeping me awake at night. On Wednesday, my phone rang and it was Corrigan’s preschool teacher. We were so fortunate that she was able to have him in her class for two years and educating a new teacher about all of Corrigan’s unique needs was part of what had me worried for this school year.
But Ms. Beth was calling with amazing news…she had been moved to Kindergarten this year and Corrigan was in her class once again!!! Can you believe that? Three years in a row? I may have squealed in her ear (no really, she is deaf in that ear now) so much weight was lifted from my shoulders. We are just so blessed.
Did I mention even his classroom is in the same location? For a child with strong routine needs this couldn’t be more perfect!
I am so proud of both of my boys. One in Kindergarten and one a junior in High School…this life sure is crazy. Happy New School Year!
