(He “played” Christmas songs for me all day yesterday)
It has been a crazy year and I can hardly believe that Christmas is less than 24 hours away but we are ready and eager to enjoy some smiles and hugs from family and friends!
Thank you for sticking with us throughout 2013. I always have high hopes for each new year, and I’d like to think that 2014 might be a better one than this last, but the stuff that we deal with in our family doesn’t seem to care about resolutions or calendars, so I am sure there will be lots of ups and downs in the next twelve months. We will do our best to face it all with an attitude of gratitude and hope though and I will likely continue to share it all here. Thank you for listening.
A friend of mine posted something on Facebook today that said:
“If you have family that loves you, a few good friends, food on the table and a roof over your head, then you are richer than you think!”
I’d like to add one more
.”…,if you have Jesus in your heart…”
It is easy for me to get wrapped up in what isn’t wrapped up under the tree for my boys, due to budgets or whatever, but the greatest gift truly was given so many years ago, when Jesus gave all for me.
And for you.
It all started in a manger and has nothing to do with Xboxes or fancy jewelry. I am thankful for the greatest gift of all.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Merry Christmas, friends!
