Transplanted: March 15, 2018

I had planned to write daily as we navigated through the days following Corrigan’s transplant, as words have always been my therapy, but the road was so bumpy and fraught with worry, I barely had the words to whisper comfort to my boy.

It’s been a trial, these last 33 days (we are still inpatient at least three more days), as Corrigan endured four surgeries, two liver biopsies and temporarily lost use of his right arm and left leg, but things are finally settling down enough to at least stop by here- this memory vault I’ve cultivated over the last ten years- and at least share a photo essay of how things have gone.

Later I will share more of my thoughts. Some photos may be graphic.
